Managing your emotional health
Sometimes we don’t speak up when we need help because we want to act strong or we think people won’t understand. The truth is this — asking for help when you’re having a hard time isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength, initiative, and good communication. If something is broken that you can’t fix, you’d go see a professional to get it checked out. It’s just as important to take those same steps when it comes to your feelings, and to get a closer look how you manage your emotions. If making that opening up or seeing a professional is too overwhelming, try speaking with a friend or family member first. That is combining your emotions, and your intelligence.
